Oh Here We Go; Clinton’s Conspiracy Theorists Feel Validated

Brace yourselves, people. The Trump Campaign is about to have a field day with Hillary Clinton’s “medical episode” at the 9/11 Memorial Ceremony in New York Sunday morning. In case you live under a rock and haven’t already heard, Clinton made an early and yes, unsteady exit from the ceremony with video showing the Democratic presidential nominee being held up by aides before appearing to collapse as she was being helped into a van to get some rest. Clinton’s team released a statement that blamed “overheating” for her medical episode. Clinton’s physician, Dr. Lisa Bardack later confirmed that Clinton was diagnosed with pneumonia on Friday and contributed to her overheating and dehydration leading to her collapse.
Now, before some of you give into the conspiracy theories that Clinton is very ill, suffering from various ailments, and hiding these ailments from the world - lets have some rational thoughts about this matter.
First of all - everyone feels under the weather at times. Everyone. You, me, even Donald Trump has probably felt ill at times, although I don’t see him admitting it. In regards to the coughing fit Hillary had last week at a Labor Day rally in Cleveland, this doesn’t have to be a hidden health conspiracy. We all have had a coughing fit, and usually at the most inappropriate of times. Maybe you have this coughing fit as you’re trying to deliver your order to your server at a restaurant, or perhaps you’re meeting your future mother-in-law for the first time. Maybe you’re giving a speech in front of hundreds of people on your campaign trail. It happens. Especially when you’re under high stress and using your voice constantly for months and months on end at campaign rallies, only then to find out you've been walking around with pneumonia. Give the lady a break, guys.  Pneumonia, coughing fits, exhaustion even are by no means anything that would seem like a ‘serious medical condition’ under normal circumstances. You rest, get some fluids, take some prescribed meds and go about your life.
That is unless you’re Hillary Clinton, of course. Since 2012 when Clinton suffered a brain concussion after having a fall, the conspiracy theorists have run wild with this “brain injury” that must be at the root of all her ailments, even after being given a clean bill of health repeatedly by her physician. Since then some republicans, such as former NY Mayor Rudy Giuliani have also run with these claims in an attempt to do anything they can to help ensure a Trump presidency this fall. The lengths some will go to in the effort to deem Hillary unfit for office with unsubstantiated claims regarding her health is unfair, and honestly, quite pathetic.   Of course without the media to assist in spreading this slew of garbage around, the rumors probably wouldn’t be making any headway at all. Did I mention there's only 55 more days until the election? (But who's counting..?)
Let’s all agree on one thing. Everyone needs to relax. Further stress might give Hillary an ulcer and I’m not looking forward to trying to explain to all those C.T.’s how you cannot tie that to a brain injury.  Feel better, Hillary.

  1. I have heard so many people talking about Hillary being sick and her leaving the conference earlier but I never knew that in 2012 she had a brain injury. I Just assumed the people spreading ideas about Hillary being in bad heath and what not where just Trump supporters trying to get people to not want a "sick" candidate in office. After hearing about the brain injury i can now see why some people might be nervous, but like you said everyone gets sick. If us normal people get pneumonia nobody would even blink twice but the second a presidential candidate has it everyone assumes the worst. This was a nice read and as you said just give the woman a break!

  2. I'm old enough to remember 1988. I'd prefer to have the person elected as President have the mental faculties to carry out the duties.
